CHALLENGE:
Find a hosting partner that not only offered a secure, high performing facility, but had staffing that could augment existing application development, creative and IT personnel, and perform Web and database server administration tasks. Hal was looking for assistance in designing and implementing an environment for a robust Web based video streaming content delivery platform.

CHALLENGE:
As the edViser platform was adopted by several large corporate customers with high traffic Web properties, Tecstra sought a partner that could provide managed services around Security (PCI), Uptime and Performance. They wanted to offload basic Web and database server builds, monitoring, backup, troubleshooting and problem resolution, but still wanted to be able to control and manage their application configuration and fulfillment environment. Plus, they wanted a partner who could provide options for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, along with shared, dedicated and virtual environments as their capacity needs increased.

SOLUTION:
Since 2001, Tecstra has depended on Blue Hue to host their dedicated production environments. Blue Hue has carefully monitored their sites and provided recommendations on server upgrades as traffic grew. Recently, Blue Hue provided an option to migrate their servers to a virtual private server environment to help control costs while enhancing server management and disaster recovery options. In addition, Blue Hue provides PCI scanning, remediation and testing for the Tecstra applications.
